Read the research articles and complete the worksheets yourself. This will give you a sense of the ambiguity that is present in most articles. It will also make you more aware of any incorrect statements made by students.
2. Search for the “fatal flaws.” These are student statements that make it clear that critical points have not been mastered. An example of this would be calling a survey design an experiment. This type of error should weigh more heavily.
3. Keep track of recurring errors; correct answers will need to be reinforced in class.
